My name is Nhu-y Nguyen. I am a family law lawyer. I practice exclusively in this area, including divorce, custody and access, child support, spousal support, property division, marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, separation agreements and legal opinion letters on a foreign divorce.

Education and Experience
I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2004. Yes, at one point in my life I wanted to be a scientist. After being clumsy in the lab and feeling lonely with so little human interaction, I realized I wasn’t in the right profession. Instead, I decided to try my hand at law. While in law school, I took multiple courses in family law. I really enjoyed it and realized that the area of divorce and family law is something I excel in and am passionate about. I graduated from Queen’s University Faculty of Law in 2008 with a Juris Doctor degree and was called to the bar in 2010. As an articling student, I learned from the best: my mentor was a prominent family law lawyer with over 30 years of experience. At present, I have eight years of experience working full time in family law. I am a member of Peel Law Association.
